Citizen Science

Connecting citizens and science through fostering active participation.

Citizen science is scientific research conducted with participation from the public. Citizen scientists may design experiments, collect data, analyze results, and solve problems.

Portalis is a firm believer in Citizen Science and develops projects involving elements of awareness raising, training and surveying, and so involving the public at different levels.

Anyone can be a citizen scientist, regardless of where they’re from. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what your background is. All it takes is some time, curiosity, and a sense of wonder.
